The book is high fantasy and is hard to compare to any other fantasy series. The world building in this book is unique and different from anything I’ve read before, including interconnected planets, odd magical systems and equally odd creatures and history.
Trying to describe this series in a single short review is near impossible, so the only thing I can recommend is for you to dive into this series head first and enjoy the thousands of pages of content. If you are a fan of fantasy books, then I believe you will have a great time reading this.
